The land is made valuable by the the work and efforts of people around them. Taking back societies contribution in the form of a Land Value Tax would allow us to reduce taxes on workers and business.
Not only would this be fairer and more progressive, it would also boost the economy and incentivise increased development.

LVT BILL PRESENTED TO PARLIAMENT
Caroline Lucas from the Green Party has proposed replacing Council Tax and Business Rates with land based taxes.

This would be the first step towards a full and comprehensive Land Tax.
The bill will be voted on its Second Reading on 9th November 2012. If you support introduction of a Land Tax then lobby your local MP to vote in favour!
